Synopsis
Concrete Jungle is an urban action adventure and a gritty revision of Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book.

It tells you what would happen if you transfer the animal characters of Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book into humans living in a concrete jungle of a nowadays metropolis.

It's the story about a 17-years-old boy, Moke Lee, whose life is turned upside down as a dangerous crime boss, Sir Caine, returns to the city to settle an old score with Moke's family.

Moke has to learn the painful truth that he is an orphan and his whole life is based on a lie. Moke's real parents were murdered 17 years ago. Moke, as a baby, survived. Balaguer, an ex-hitman and lone wolf, found him next to the bodies of his parents and brought him to a wealthy family, the Lupionies.

On the search for his identity, Moke enters the city's underworld and learns that in the night where his real parents were killed, something has happened that can incriminate Caine and caused his long disappearance. But now, Moke becomes from the hunter of his own identity the prey of the whole city's underworld.

The plot describes the journey of Moke to find the evidence and bring Caine down.

The subplot, Moke's inner journey, describes the significant change of a boy who always tried to fit into an environment where he does not really belong to into a self-esteemed person who stands to himself and does not wear any masks anymore.

Quotes from Script Savvy, Dec. 2009:
Dialogue: “It is chock full of subtext, which is important. The dialogue feels very realistic. These characters sound like real people.”
Characters: “The writers have created a myriad of intriguing characters, each of who have his own distinct voice. This is often the hardest aspect of screenwriting. However, the writers make this look easy. The reader doesn’t even need to look at the dialogue headings in order to tell who is speaking.”
Originality: “This script feels very unique. From the interweaving storylines to the great characterization, the writers have crafted a fun, thrilling story. It is exceptionally easy to visualize, as it is very cinematic.”
Marketability: This script definitely has marketing potential. Because the characters are so well done, there should be no trouble attracting actors to the roles. Even the most minor characters feel special. The genre itself is very attractive, especially in foreign territories. This script could be shot nearly anywhere so there are several tax incentives, which could be taken advantage of. All in all, this story would attract both a male and female audience.
